So, another contest entry. Go figure, right?

So...out of all the things that inspire me, the one that stuck out most in my mind was music.
I can't live without music. It pumps me up, gets me going. All the beauty of the sounds and the lyrics and the symphonies give me so many ideas, both for my art and my writing.
And even in my life...
Also, I titled this "Drawing Shadows" because that is what my dad asked me when he saw me sketching this out the other night. "Drawing shadows, huh kiddo?"
And I really kind of was, since the only light was coming from the television
And then I paused and went "Oh that's perfect." Because my dad inspires me too. And I had to shove that little tidbit in the art somewhere!
So thanks dad, you're awesome
And that IS a real piece of music, not just random notes!
I took an excerpt from Chopins Nocturne, which of course has a whole other round of meaning behind it, mostly revolving around the fact that my mind does in fact run faster at night, and I'm more inspired by moonlight than sunlight.

So...yeah. Only wish I could've shoved my cat in there, and some horses, and friends, and wind, and plants, and...well, everything else that inspires me day by day, not only in my art, but in my life ^_^
